My Rural King Group 41 battery finally died as it was a August 2014 battery. I feel like I got my moneys worth with it. I have an older Walmart Battery from november of 2002 that is still going. To go 20 years is not bad.

Wow! I thought I was doing well with a Costco group 65 battery still going with a 2013 date of manufacture.

I have a 2009 in a diesel tractor.
Thinking about replacing it and all I ever did was charge it once at the start of every mowing season.
Did so last week and it seems fine but 2002 takes the cake.

I don't remember exactly, but the original battery in my 1993 Toyota 4WD PU lasted past the year 2010. I'm sure I charged it a few times.

{ do use a battery minder with a desulfinator feature on it. Yes it is in My 1987 VW Cabriolet that doesn't get driven a lot, but it is ready to go anytime. Wife and I drove it to Florida about 3 years ago and now that gas is High it is going to be driven more. On the highway it is getting 32mpg. It rides very smooth like a much larger car. I am amazed that the battery is still going.
