just stopped pipeline building into town for a restaurant. Our town is 'ruled' but the local state college's "flag ship campus". While students demonstrate on campus for more housing there the U uses the twn to syphon off the over flow so as to have 50% of the private homes in conversion to absentee landlord student housing. Needless ta say business loves it and we R known as "Restaurant City". Most have turnover every 2 or 3 yrs. Cost of housing prevents any families from staying here. I DO rejoice when anything stops the expansion of restaurants here. We need some diversity of business for continued health.

Sounds like a typical college town where the golden goose is that never ending funding stream of student loans.
