Bandit oil filter redux

Does anyone know if the fitting which connects the filter to the engine is a common thread on the end that screws into the case half.
If standard we could replace it with one from a Honda and greatly expand our choice of filters.
Just a thought but I have no way to check.

If it screws in, it will almost certainly be a common thread. But this will vary as to what that thread is. Not much help, I know.

From what I know about Hondas, the inside thread is the same as the outside thread.
You can check and see of course, but getting it out might be a lot of fun.
