People in China want to buy non-Chinese made cars for the same reason.

Yep - a Chevy, Buick or Cadillac in China even if it’s built by Shanghai GM is still a status symbol there for the hoi polloi. VW too. They won’t drive Japanese cars because WWII.

There’s also reason why luxury cars have bigger and uglier grilles - the Chinese market who wants “in your face”.

Very impressive interior and i trust Thomas' reviews. We keep dismissing all Chinese products inferior until.......................they're not. And that day catches you by surprise.

Not anymore apparently... 84% of chinese that drive foreign premium are going for a chinese premium brand for their next purchase. Makes sense if the traditional premium brands are trying to look more chinese anyway.

China’s pushing EVs as well- and the homegrown stuff is nothing to joke around with. BYD’s right up there with Tesla when it comes to batteries.
