I have 2002 Accord dx non-vtec auto, it has 50500 on it.Its history has been pretty good i suppose. My first 5000k since i bought it new, i change it from factory conventional to castrol gtx 5w30 till up to 12k. Then I ve been running through Hondas 5w-20. I had a engine flush using the bilstein machine that used a "safe solvent", so at that time i was under the assumption that my engine was clean. Up until maybe 25k to 30k, my engine felt sluggish. 10k miles later i stumbled on auto-rx, i added 6oz to the honda oil that i had in there after doing 3k and dirty filter so it will start doing a little cleaning. I drained the oil, then started the official auto-rx treatment. Now for the rinse phase, i ran the oil up to 6k miles instead of draining at 3k, then I switched to Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5w30. The question was that since I only saw some vible varnish, how long would it take to have a perfectly clean engine compartment with adding the 2 oz of LC? I hope the switching to full synthetic and changing the pcv valve would bring a quieter engine.

Visible varnish isn't a problem. Perfectly clean, IMO, is not important.
If you want a quieter engine, use a 30wt instead of a 20wt. Or, try all the brands of 20wt until you find one that is the quietest.

If you have the LC, start using it!

you said. "Up until maybe 25k to 30k, my engine felt sluggish"

have you considered other factors?
Maybe you just need a little tune-up... pcv, air filter, spark plugs, dump in a bottle cheveron techron...

even after the tune-up,and the run-rite fuel system cleaner, the engine ran alright for a couple of days, its after i put the arx in the transmission, engine and p/s that I saw a biiig improvement

I had a engine flush using the bilstein machine: I saw that used at a NAPA shop. It is suppose to get everything out.Perhaps adding a maintance dose of ARX to the Oil,Tranny& PSpump would given you what your looking for.NAPA flushes the Transmissions too so after you clean up with the ARX drain those other 2 and she ought to Purrr like a kitten.

If you use 2 onces of Lube Control per quart of oil at your initial fill and 3 onces of LC ever 1000 miles that varnish will be gone in no time flat. I would say that it could be varnish free in as little as 500 miles. Worst case would be two OCI of LC!Now I am talking about the engine surfaces not the baffle in the valve cover. It cleaned the heads on my wifes 1997 Buick 3800 in 500 miles. I had tried Auto-Rx and it did not touch the varnish. I tried MMO and it too did nothing for the varnish! THen I tried LC and bam the varnish was no longer visable on the heads after about 500 miles. Their was two years between the Auto-Rx and the LC on this engine. Their was about 6 months between the MMO and the LC on this engine!
