Auto-RX in trans results so far ...

I put 6 oz. of Auto-RX in my wife's Civic which was losing ATF. I think it worked! The results were more dramatic than when I used it in my engine. 2000 miles so far, and the dipstick still shows full.

Any harm in leaving the Auto-RX in there?

Please go to www.auto-rx.net change the transmission fluid. Your way overdue transmission fluid is a ISO 68 Hydraulic Oil with what ever additive package manufacture wants to add. Your seals and clutch packs need new transmission fluid.Make sure you clean out torque converter
Auto-Rx works just follow the application instructions,no need to use any transmission additive.

Okay ... but when I brought this up before in a previous post, I thought you said it was fine if it stayed in longer than that. Not sure exactly what ATF being ISO 68 Hydraulic Oil has to do with anything either, but I drained the ATF tonight.

Transmissions do not normally have the same level or quality of filtration that motors do. Motors are a breathing entity, as opposed to a basically sealed unit. Therefor typically, the filtration in an Auto-Trans will not filter out contaminants, like a motor filter will. While you have the contaminents suspended, drain, T-Tec, the contaminated fluid out.

I have found that using the t-tech was quite effective. In my case I also found that after completely purging the transmission, it performed better with a small maintenance dose of ARX. In my 16 quart system 4 fluid ounces is working great..
