hello,

i just finished a cleaning phase on my 1988 s-15 jimmy with 4.3l engine auto trans and 220k on my truck.

i have noticed tremendous improvement in mpg, idle is way down, engine runs much smoother and has much more power now.it feels like a new engine.

nothing is in my head.its a fact.i know what improvements i have gotten.
i dont care what you think you know.so if all you are going to do is try to criticise me then please dont post on my topic.

thanks

I think he's being sarcastic because people dog on auto rx and refute positive claims about it. He helps people with auto rx's instructions too.

lol
if he was then sorry.

it really did work for me.i was skeptical to try at first because i had 217k when i was started.and i did not know if it was going to hurt my engine or what.but it did not and it really helped.my engine feels alive now..i have it still draining the old oil out of my truck still in my garage.so i will post pics if i get a chance

i have one more bottle.im trying to debate weather i should do another cleaning phase or do the maintenance phase with it.

With those kind of miles they suggest 2 treatments. I'd follow the directions, many people have posted impressive results. Do a second treatment. JMO

I have too hear this one, he better not say a 10 m.p.g. improvement.

Sorry I forget Americans don't get "taking the p1ss". Anyway use dino with no ester or PAO content and run it longer for clean and rinse phase. I'm now trying a 10,000km (6,200 miles) clean on my BMW (2nd clean) and so far so good. Cheers..stevo

i was getting around 9mpg city now get get a about 14 -15mpg city.when i first got the truck and i drove it,it felt like it was to heavy for itself or something was holding it back.but now its very responsive and runs great.
i am going to add the other can of rx to it today.

I recently did an Auto-RX cleaning on my 2003 Saturn Ion and I had the same experience as you. Before the cleaning phase was even done the car was running much better and seemed to have better power. I did not really notice any difference in fuel mileage but I did not try to really check the mileage anyway. But the engine was running like new.

Of course this is all subjective and not based on positive information like compression tests or something like that. All I can say is that to me Auto-RX seems to work. All a person has to do is follow directions and not use synthetic oil (during the cleaning). Not using synthetic oil would of course cause a problem for some people like Corvette owners, but they could use Pennzoil Platinum perhaps.

Doesn't matter for the Vettes. Mobil was just the highest bidder to put their name on the oil fill. F-bodies (during the lt1 and ls1 days) had the exact same motor and no Mobil recommendation. And you're probably out of warranty anyway if you're trying to clean up the motor.

Sounds like better ring sealing. I had a 1990 4.3 liter that produced better fuel burning at 125K on the clock than it did at 35K. Hydrocarbon emissions were cut in half, fuel mileage was about 1.5 miles per gallon gain in overall driving.

Other posts here at BITOG say the same thing. The taxi cab test done in San Diego say the same thing. Before and after ARX tests on low compression engines seem to say the same thing. That darn product works.
