I know the auto-Rx site says you can use it for power steering, but Honda says to only use HONDA power steering fluid. Would it be safe to use Auto-Rx in my HONDA power steering (1oz per qt.). I have 1.8qts so should I use just close to 2 oz's?

Thanks

Auto-Rx is safe, try to get close to 2 ounces, I used it in my powersteering, and when I drained the fluid it was dark. The powersteering is now working fantastic.

I used it in my units. I believe it should not be left in forever, rather used and drained. It's about time for me to drain mine and would kind of like to find an alternative to GHPSF.

I have a hard time figuring, beyond some obscure seal compatibility issue, how one PSF formulation (outside of the Audi spec'd central hydraulic fluid stuff) can be materially detrimental to a system outside of some performance variable. Since I don't see power steering systems (outside of the aforementioned seal compatibility issue) as being radically altered in practical usage (that is, they may be "smoother" or "quieter" ..but still turn the wheels with the same or improved effort) ..just what's there to hurt???

PSI is PSF. End of story. It's not like it has a very high likelyhood of shearing.
