hello,
Ive just removed my windows on my 85 MB 300D, because one and its trim had deep scratches. I figured I could get the replacements from my ruined 83, since all its good for is parts. I noted a LOT of rust on the piece that connects the bottom of the glass to the window lift. Also, inside of the door, I see a lot of yellow anti-rust coating. Ive also seen spots slathered with this stuff where repairs have been made, etc.
Does anyone know what the anti-corrosive yellow gunk that OEM and body shops put onto vehicles where work has been done is called, and where one can get it?
Ive seen aerosol corrosion prevntion stuff sold by pennzoil and amsoil, and it is simlar consistency, though, of course, aerosol... I want the professional slop!
Any ideas???
Thanks!
JMH
