Autel 906 pro 8 or thinkcar platinum s8 pro

Do you have experience with either of these? Which would you buy?
The autel is $800 ish more than the thinkcar. Is it worth it? Thoughts and opinions? I will be using this in a shop setting so I'm curious as to between these two which you prefer.

Autel has been around a lot longer than Thinkcar so that alone would be plus. I've been using a 906BT for a few years which costs half as much but will probably do 95% of what the pro does, and have no complaints, although I don't use it day to day.

Thinkcar uses Launch software tweaked for their scanners. I own a Thinktool Pros which has worked very well for me the past two years and it also uses Launch software. One thing to also think about is that the Autul only has one year of free updates vs the two years of the Thinkcar and I believe subscription updates for the Autul are quite a bit more expensive than the ones for the Thinkcar.

From looking at both, the Autul may be a little bit more capable. The Thinkcar that you are looking at also doesn't have topology which I like quite a bit. If you are interested in Thinkcar, you might also look at Topdon which also uses similar software as the Thinkcar.

I'll hazard to express my opinion, I think Xtool D8 is an excellent alternative to both mentioned above, cheaper and comes with 3 years of free updates. Also, if you miss something on the tool and reach out to Xtool, they are very responsive and are most likely gonna provide you with a solution within 3 days including new features you are missing.
