Would a correct statement be, "NASA won't explain"?

You can bet that NASA, the US Air Force, the US Navy, and the Lockheed Skunk Works knows the correct answer.

I highly doubt this is some big, "conspiracy theory". NASA doesn't know everything. Meteor showers take place all the time, all over the planet. This isn't some, "supersonic boogeyman". The Earth is hit by millions of objects every day. Most are tiny specks. Some are larger. When they break up in the atmosphere they get loud. The bigger they get, the louder they are. Remember the one that hit Chelyabinsk Russia? No one predicted that either. Not even NASA.

With all due respect to billt460, same phenomena happened here a few yrs ago but wasn't a normal sonic boom (have heard legit ones before). There is a US Naval Weapons Depot & Development type of installation in the region. My raw guess at the time was that it was possibly something related to development of the Rail Gun, but it probably wasn't.

Shannow, curious how much of a presence NASA has there with things like this? Do you have a similar .gov agency?

We seem to have more strange unexplained lights than booms here in the SW. Most think it's secret military stuff.

CIA owns pine gap, and ousted an Australian Prime Minister because he wanted to know what it was, and what it was doing.

Last couple of weeks, our CSIRO (Our science agency) deep space stuff was taken over/handed to NASA

Adelaide (South Australia) had "the big bang rumble" a while back: not quake related....
A few years ago we had "clouds" form in a dot/dash at low altitude right along the face of the hills/ranges, (about the length of 767 wide) no noise, no planes. Was so mesmerised didn't take a video.... The Tour Down Under was on its last day (international bicycle race) so the media not looking up!!! (and getting sloshed in a wine region) We watched the "clouds" approach and go almost overhead and continue on....
Nothing reported....
Must have been on route to Pine Gap

Nothing to see and worry about. It's probably ice crystals and duck hunters anyway, or could even be a CME hitting the ionospheric F layer at just the right angle.

The doughnuts on a rope cloud formations signify Aurora, but lack of noise means it's Aurora's successor. It's beyond Top Secret and even if you guess the project's code name "they" will have to hunt you down and kill you.

That's why I'm keeping quiet.
