Audi S3 Oil

Looking to change up what I currently use in my 2016 Audi S3 - PP Euro 5W40 or Ravenol SSL 0W40. Thinking of trying possibly a 5w30 (knowing it will be thicker) and some of the Ravenol "racing" line - Ravenol RSP or RUP (5w40).

Have done UOA every 5k miles and are good (see past posts) but dont mind trying something different with vw 502 approval. Not really worried about price.

If the car is still under warranty and you want to use 5w30 I would still stick with 502 (not very common) or 504 spec. In the end these specs are very thick 30's or thin 40's and not a whole lot of difference between them in terms of viscosity.

Use a 5w30 that is on the list (it's going to be thinner than a 40 weight at operating temperature)

skip the 0W oils not needed in your climate as thinner base oils burn off quicker even real synthetics. use a real synthetic group IV or V oil in that high performance beauty, prolly 5-40. i use 10-40 Redline in my hotted up TT in Pa winters + 15W-50 in summer heat, lo miles but loose engine.
