What is benefit of using VW 50400 vs VW 50200?

I am currently using Castrol 0W-40 Edge (synthetic) on my '18 Audi Q7 with the supercharged 3.0 TFSI (gasoline) engine, which meets 50200. I live in south Texas (hot climate).
I notice Castrol 5W-30 Edge/synthetic meets VW 50400.

What is the benefit of 504 vs 502 or the key differences? Any recommendations?

On a side note: the car uses about 1 quart of oil per oil change (~5000 miles). No leaks, no smoke. Engine just rolled 40k miles. Talking with other Audi owners, this seems to be common/normal.
Thanks!

504/507 is arguably the more advanced specification as it is designed for after treatment compatibility. It will only be sold in a 30w. These oils typically have a corresponding Mercedes(229.51), BMW(LL04) Porsche(C30) certs.

If you're looking for a 40w version it will be Porsche C40/VW 511

I am not sure you benefit that much moving to Castrol VW 504.00/507.00 While VW504.00/507.00 is superior to VW502.00 you are already using oil that is approved for MB229.5 (far more superior to VW502.00) and Porsche A40.
If you are looking really good oil that is above average, Motul 5W30 X-Clean+, Mobil1 ESP 0W30 or 5W30 would be my choice in VW504.00/507.00 category over Castrol.

I thought they went back to turbos in 2017?
