You have to use an outside site like Photo bucket, load your pics then copy the image reference onto your BITOG post.

Yes it's a pain, But who said BITOG is user friendly?

There's a reason some photo hosting sites have gone to a for-pay model. Photos can be bandwidth intensive, and it isn't BITOG's job to host our photos for us. There are many forums out there that won't host your photos for you.

Thanks for the replies.

Actually it's quite simple. Get a free Photobucket account. Upload photos to your Photobucket account. Copy the link to your photo and paste it into your post.

Nothing asinine about it unless those instructions are too difficult for you to follow.

Meguairs Online Forum encourages you to use their own photo hosting ability. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that percentage wise (and actual bandwidth wise), MOL has lot more pictures than what we have at BITOG.

The unfortunate reality is that there is no youtube (1000lb gorilla) equivalent for hosting your pictures. Every free site eventually turns in to pay or limited pay site. There are plethora of replies which now have stale image links. May be BITOG should delete all the 90 days+ content given that anything under the sun is being repeated all the time anyway :) That way the power to be won't have to worry about bandwidth.

The Meguiar's forums, great as they are, are run by a sufficiently large company to be able to handle bandwidth and storage issues. Also, given the nature of those forums, a quick and easy way to post photos is valuable to them.
