Are Corporations becoming too big and powerful?

It seems to me they only get bigger and bigger and diversify into many different things and businesses. It seems employees are seen as liabilities instead of assets. People are just a number. Profit and shareholders/Wall Street are kings and the employees and the U. S as a whole are the serfs.

Becoming? Corporations are still a relatively new legal entity, historically speaking My guess would be the era of unbridled corporate power was probably at it's height in the roaring 20's and extended until well after WWII.

They need size to compete on the global stage ~ but have to operate companies within the corporation, divisions, and select teams to keep it human …
