Are all Fleetguard filters synthetic media?

Because the filter for my application (FL400S) is darn cheap.

The FL400S crosses to Fleetguard LF3339. Both filters have cellulose media. The plus for the LF3339 is Fleetguards warranty does not pro-rate.

No...there not all syn media(stratapore)

Look at an LF3947 instead. That is a stratapore with the same thread size. The main difference is that the LF3339 is 4.5in tall while the LF3947 is 6.95in tall. Might not work if clearance is an issue. If that's too tall you might look at an LF3685 which is not listed as being a stratapore but does have have synthetic media. It is only 5.4in tall so might fit a little better.
