Okay, it has been 8 months. The product still works as well as it did on day 1 in terms of sheeting, beading and gloss.
Also, the sides of my car have been covered with water spots for a few months. I finally got around to removing them using CarPro Spotless. One application of Spotless removed 90%+ of the water spots; if the car did not have Opti-Coat, the spots would not have came off so easily.
Downsides? It still attracts contamination, so a light claying on the horizontal surfaces every 3-4 months is a good idea. The hardness is a bit better than OEM clear, so you probably won't get marring...but it still equally prone to swirls.
