Anyone used a Settings Keeper for Battery swap?

The only thing that I lose is the time and the trip odometer. Not worth the expense to me. I havent had a car that looses settings in a long time. Even the radio in my 91 BMW, which requests a security code after loss of power, memorizes the presets and doesnt loose them.
I use 3 vehicles to pull this off. I take one car with a good battery and hook the jumper cables from it to the post of the bad battery to keep a little juice flowing. I then take the 3rd vehicle and the bad battery to the store to get a new battery.
Most of the Japanese cars turn off the 12V outlet unless the key is in at least ACC position. I have never really tracked it down but I suspect that 9V battery probably will not be sufficient to provide all of the ACC current which is present in a typical vehicle e.g. instrument panel indicator lights etc.
I purchased one but in the end, I did not use it.

Unfortunately in a lot of cars disconnecting the battery also removes all the stored emissions information. I had that issue 2 years ago when I replaced a battery in the spring and then brought the car to be inspected, only to fail on emissions-readiness.

Good point, though its not hard to go through the cycle and get to ready status on OBD II.
The 2 main items I would lose are the computer settings and radio security/presets and it's worth it to me to avoid those issues if this little device can hold memory for the 60 seconds it takes me to swap in a new battery

Do you not know the radio security code? Takes me not 5 seconds to re-enter it.
Are you sure your radio forgets presets? My 21 yo radio stores them!

I use an obdii backfeed dongle. The +12v pin in those is universally, always hot.
When I (briefly) worked at a tire store, I found out it was our store policy to use one, via a newspaper flyer I found in the break room. So I went and got that thing! I use a motorcycle battery with cigarette lighter adapter for power but you can use another car; the leads are long enough.
Trying to keep jumper cables attached to terminal ends while snaking the terminals away from the battery doesn't really work for me-- everything's all stiff and you're even more worried about shorting the positive terminal. I just throw a rag around it otherwise.

Thats a pretty neat little gadget. But is there a current limit on the OBDII +12V leads from that port to wherever it goes? Is it fused?

Does this Solar/ESA30 require an additional tool "used in conjunction with a jump starter .." ?
The NOCO is simply a 9v battery powered tool and with ignition key on ACC-||, should work for the 1 minuted change-over (untested by me, thus the original question)

If you hook up the NOCO, then turn the key to ACC position and wait until it stabilizes i.e. keep the windows down, doors closed, and wait until all dash lights go out. Then disconnect the battery and put a new one. That should work. Untested but logically should work.
I have used a jump starter wired to the positive cable and ground and it worked fine. Didn't have to worry then keeping the key ignition to the acc position to enable the cig socket
I have a jump box that has a male/male cigarette lighter charging cable. I use that to keep the computer memory.
I have used the 9 volt backup on a 735i when I replaced my mothers car battery under the back seat. It worked. Turn off the dome light.

Not fused to my knowledge. I was thinking of adding a 5-10 amp fuse to my battery end of things in case I shorted the loose positive terminal under the hood. Otherwise I'd have been looking through a strange car's fusebox(es) for its blown one.
A little LED on it seems like a good idea, except if I leave it plugged into my little battery all the time, it'll run it down.
