I've got nothing to lose at this point...I wonder if I should try this thing...

product page:
http://www.myheadlights.com/

video:

(the instructions have been changed since that video: all the sanding steps should be done with WATER only, and NOT with CV-1 as shown on the video, I think)

someone achieved good results with their Elantra headlights (sadly he tried after using another product, so no "real" before pics, but I know exactly how elantra lenses look like look like when they're fogged/cloudy because we own an elantra, too):
http://www.elantraclub.com/forum/index.php?s=&showtopic=17395&view=findpost&p=219187

for $20 bucks I think I will give it a try on my wife's Elantra (they are not in real bad shape, but the lower part of lenses are cloudy a bit)
that is IF i can find it at wally or APP.

I've not heard of it but it looks to be effective and certainly is reasonable. I question if it's permanent but if it lasted for a few years it would be worth the small expense.

The link to the Elantra club says you must be a member.

I tried this on my Tundra, it does work takes the fogging out, but they will still continue to Yellow, I was going to try sanding then automotive clear coat maybe tint them black cant see the Yellow then. I'm shopping for lenses.

Not a bad product if you want to be cheap and save some money with an older car.

Elantra pics from that guy who cleaned his lights on the forum (sorry didn't know you have to be a member to see those):

before trying anything:

After trying something called PermaTex:

After Crystal View (was done on the same light that was finished with perma Tex after a couple of weeks I think)
:(finished; after the last step; if you wanna see the in between sanding and polishing steps let me know)

Thats what I was about to suggest. PlastX is about $6. Its a compound cleaner so you have to apply pressure and work in small areas.

2nd the Meguiars Plastix. It won't strip it smooth but it will definitely clean them up. Follow with a coat of wax.

Plast-X after sanding worked wonders for my old Elantra's headlights, and for the original headlight (the other was replaced after some idiot hit her while she was parked) on my fiancee's Escort. The sanding removed the yellowing, and the Plast-X made the headlight look very close to the other one.

The Plast-X does degrade after a couple months, so you will need to reapply until enough builds up to form a permanent coating. This took about 9 months to do.

I've tried the $20 Wal-Mart kit on my current car, and it uses something very similar to Plast-X. The only difference is that the kit then seals the light somehow.

Having tried both, the Plast-X is my preferred choice.

I tried every thing on the headlamp lenses of my 97' prizm. Plastic polish helped but didn't completely fix the problem. This stuff completely cleared up my hazy headlamps.

I think I looked at the wrong area (auto detailing stuff, wax, polish) in WM ; I didn't see it; but then someone told me that this stuff is actually in the area where they have headlights/bulbs, etc...i guess I have to go there again...

can anyone confirm this?

AND IS THERE ENOUGH IN THIS PACKET TO DO 4 HEADLIGHTS? (WE HAVE 2 CARS)

OK; I found the CV kit at Walmart. bummer it's just enough for 1 car. gonna try it out on my Tbird first probably tomorrow.
will post before/after pics here and in the photo section if I get to do it tomorrow.

would Klasse AIO be good to protect the finish (If I achieve any good results?)
