Looking at moving up to LT285/75R17 to fill out the wheel wells on my 2500.

Diameter is about 33.9” by the specs I’ve read on several sites.

Anyone have experience with this size whether good or bad.

That's the size I ran on my '06 Mega Cab 3500 SRW (Cummins), Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 2s-did really well, hauled everything. Actually I think they were LT285/70R17s, not sure about the 75 aspect ratio ones.

I have 285/75/18 Toyo AT IIs (11.5x35) on my 2011 2500 duramax. The wheels are stock 18x8" off a 2018 3500. I would have gone with the AT IIIs, but couldn't wait another year. In the last 20 years I've bought several sets of 285/70/17 and 285/75/16s. They all look and perform better with 9" wide wheels.
The Toyo's have a 3 ply sidewall, so you get a tough long lasting tire for the extra cost.
The AT IIs are not the greatest winter I've ever owned.
