Tried to find the regular and severe service oil change intervals for the 2015 Honda Accord and civic and could not find it. If anyone has this info please share. Only thing the owners manual talks about is the service minder.

My '04 CR-V had the K24, and I recall normal service was 7500 miles, severe was 3750 miles.

The figures don't exist for a 2015 Accord or Civic, since the maintenance minder already keeps track of how it is driven and can calculate how "used" the oil is. Why not follow it? It's been around for a while now.

The MM determines your interval. It uses an algorithm to come up with the appropriate interval. The pre MM K24 had a 5000 mile severe OCI and 10000 mile normal oci. With a filter every other oci.

As others have said, your MM is your guide. That was hard for my paradigm, "some gadget telling me when to change my oil!"

On both my cars I change them at 30% and use M1 Ext Perf 0W-20.

My kids 2009 Civic gets QSUd and 5000 OCI with Fram filter. The MM is at 30% at 5000.

so 20,000 on a standard filter under normal conditions? geez

At 30% your oil is only 30% good. Not big enough safety margin there.
you're kidding right, safety margin for what, are you flying a fighter jet or driving a camry?

I have a 2007 Honda Accord. I change the oil according to the service monitor. It varies quite a bit (depending on what sort of driving I'm doing) but averages 8,000 Km (5,000 miles). I generally change oil at about 10% on the service monitor.

I change the filter every second oil change, just as Honda suggests. I have used HAMP (Honda After Market Parts) oil filters and currently WIX oil filters.

I generally use any brand name API SN 0W-20 oil, currently Pennzoil. I generally buy enough for 2 years of changes when I find a brand name oil at a good price. The car is in for a treat; I picked up some really cheap (for Canada) Pennzoil Platinum and that's what I'm going to use once the Pennzoil dino is gone. But I'll change it according to to the service monitor as well - may get a little extra cleaning.

I do NOT accept anything less than 100% from anybody and certainly not from my oil! As soon as the numbers don't say "100%", I change the oil!!

YA, RIGHT :-)
