Find a store special Pit Boss vertical.
I think I paid under $300. I use it widely and deeply. I have at least 10 varieties of pellets stored in sealed 5 gallon buckets. I can smoke cheese really cold, fish, beef, pork, chicken. I even smoked goat meat for a curry.
Over 2 years old. Moved to my new place works like a champ. I did buy a wireless 2 probe temp monitor last year that is super handy.
I have a separate gas grill for steaks, veggies, etc but even then maybe 30 minutes of smoke first then grill from time to time.
