Anyone Going to the Montery Historics?

The Monterey Historic Automobile Races are next weekend at Laguna Seca. It's great if you enjoy old race cars.

Porsche is the Marque this year, there will be some great cars racing around the track.

No vintage enthusiasts here? Too bad, it's a great time.

I used to drive up there on a semi-regular basis in the 80's but it's gotten so crowded that I've passed on it for many years now. Also, and equally important to me, the price of everything from dumpy motel rooms to a cup of coffee seems to quadruple during the events. However, it still is the world standard for classic car gatherings.

Luckily I live close enough for it to be a day trip. It does get expensive and difficult if you are staying around there.
