Anyone ever use Envirosafe / Maxi-Frig refrigerant

I was looking to see if I could find a bulk deal on r134a on eBay (sometimes cheaper for items in bulk) and came across both envirosafe and maxi-frig refrigerants (r-12a).

Anyone ever tried either? I'm almost tempted however all of my cars a/c are currently working just fine at the moment.

Yes. I have had Enviro-safe in my old van for 5 summers. Currently blowing 42 degrees F from the vent.

These I assume are HC refrigerants??? Besides being illegal in some places, they essentially destroy any r12 charge already in there or mixed in, making less to recover and reuse by those of us who choose to maintain our cars properly for the long run.

R12 has come way down in cost and is the right stuff.
