Anyone ever bend their own exhaust with this?

My "knuckle Dragger" was a co-worker on one particular race team. He fabbed up an entire mandrel bent exhaust system including the headers for my sportscar. Comparable in workmanship to anything Igor AkrapoviÄ has put out.

You can buy mandrel bent Us and 90s and cut and weld it into exactly what you need it to do. I did this on a Chevy powered Trans Am I built many years ago. Built a real X pipe system for a fraction of what a Flowmaster system at the time.

You're going to find bending exhaust pipe is an art that takes years to master. I started out in the automotive field at a Midas.....Never did master the art, But was pretty good at it.

That contraption ain't doin' Jack!!!

Yes, I've had to use this a few times in car repairs and not just to bend pipe.
I didn't buy this tool for myself for the reason that it is used quite rarely.
If I realize I will need it, I rent it from https://www.lakeside-hire.co.uk/tools/conduit-pipe-bender-on-stand/ and extend the repair a few more days.
After all, this is one of the highest quality pipe benders in the picture.
Has anyone used one?
I tried it back when I worked in the old workshop, and it's pretty handy to work with.
That's a conduit bender. We're not bending conduit here.

Probably just a bot promoting a website.

Instead of paying some knuckle dragger down at the muffier shop a week"s pay I'm thinking about fabricating my own dual exhaust for my Cadillac CTS 3.0. There is no axle hoop to bend as the pipe on these cars go under between the diff pumpkin and CV joint. Going to use mild steel 2.5 inch tubing as the stainless steel mini Flowmaster type resonators will hide the pipes. Anyhow anyone ever use this bender?

You mentioned you wanted to buy the pipe which is "mild steel". Aren't you concerned out the pipes rusting out in a matter of two to three years?
