i just bought one of them robotic vacuum cleaners today and i must say its pretty sweet.

it got about maybe 6-8 cubic inches of dirt/hair/junk off the floor so far after running around for an hour. this is kind of crazy as i vacuum every couple days and i awalys thought i did a pretty good job at it.
it seems to have some kind of logic. i awalys thought these things just randomly went around and by chance would eventually get an entire area clean, but the irobot seems to know where its been and where it hasnt been yet.

check it out at www.irobot.com

u can even get remote controls for them.

I read a review several months ago in WSJ that said they all sucked....or rather didn't....suck....most had rather feeble vacuum. Including the roomba, but I don't remember which model.

Which one do you have?

Cool but a little expensive. I'll wait til they're available at Target and Wal-mart.

yeah, it's called my wife. Does your robotic vacuum respond to voice commands?
Mine does. It can also bring me a drink, and finds the remote for the tv

You guys are killing me....oh yeah we already have a thread on THAT....

Listen.....my relationship is equal, and I don't have to vacuum. As long as she wins the discussions and my kids vacuum as part of allowance $.....we won't need a robot.

I can imagine if you had cats.....and you were away.....
