Anyone else done with Kano Labs? They have priced me out...

That's expensive.. I don't go through a ton of Kroil, but I do buy it locally for better deals than I find on Amazon. Seems lately Amazon pricing has gone insane on things like this.

There were a few online tests done showing a comparison of different penetrating oils. Liquid Wrench penetrating oil showed very similar results to Kroil, and 50/50 mix of acetone+ATF faired slightly better. I've used all of them and they do work, although the acetone+ATF mix was a bit annoying since you had to keep mixing it before use, and it tends to eat through plastic spray bottles.

I've used Kroil for years with firearms and due to pricing no longer. Move on as there are less expensive, viable alternatives.

It is crazy expensive but those prices are 4 packs. You have to watch Amazon because I have noticed sometimes they charge more per item in a 4 or 6 pack deal than if you bought them individually.

holy crud 33$ a can.. at fastenal.

I used to get the bogo deal and it was around that for 2 or 3 LARGE cans shipped to my house.

Thats insane I can go buy some Gibbs or WD-40 specialist etc.

They would have to come down 50% for me to be interested again.

I think they got bought out awhile ago and that might be why you are seeing the price increase!
here's the link I found..

Oh great a private equity firm bought them out.. All that means is someone is going to hike prices, slow innovation and milk it for all the $$$ they can before it goes under. Guess all those at private equity "investment" firms watch the movie Wall Street with Michael Douglas as the character Gordon Gecko. And they believed 100% in the line.. "Greed is good"..

EDIT:
Seems I missed this post back in '21.. Was reported here on BITOG..

Depends on who is selling/distributing. Regular 8oz Kroil is $22 delivered. Go to the Kroil storefront on Amazon, it appears to be a bit less expensive (not cheap, mind you ) than some of the distributors.

If they need to double the price to make back their investment, they paid too much.

Kroil is good, but it's not that good. I won't be buying any more.

I am getting low on Kroil and looked at their website a few weeks ago. I have bought from them before and thought it odd that I couldn't anymore. Then I saw their current pricing and thought my browser had defaulted to Japanese yen or Venezuelan bolívars. I'm switching back to Liquid Wrench and PBlaster.

I hope all the top management crooks are enjoying life on their yachts in the Caribbean. Not.

Hi All
what is the percentage of a penetrating oil is solvents is it more then 50% and the rest base oils?
Anyone have any idea?

Around here Ace and Napa have it it’s a little pricey but not as pricey as that. I go to Ace at the Fourth of July sale and new years sale and get it half off. Though recently it hasn’t been as good from my experience so I have been trying other ones. The Napa brand penetrating oil looks and smells just like Kroil so I’m wondering if it’s similar it works pretty good.
