So who wrote these words of wisdom. Near as I can see the article can not be credited to anyone. Besides who in the heck believes what they read on the internet.

Nissan Titan comes with a finned diff. cover, so do Armada and Pathfinder.

If GM is recommending changing their syn gear lube every 7.5-15k, it must be "lowest bidder" synthetic. Amsoil recommends 100k for normal service and 50k for severe service like trailer towing. I'd feel comfortable running those same intervals with Mobil 1, RP, or Redline gear lubes.

Do yourself a favor and get something decent in there.

No it's only for the first oil change. Then I think it's 90k miles there after.. (too late after a long day to look it up)

But I changed it out at 10k and it's fine.

Take care, Bill

My cousin changed the dif fluid in his new 4-runner at 12k miles and used Red Line, because it made him feel better. He washed the housing with soap and water before he started. And dried it with a towel. He feels better, now. So I asked him if he wanted to feel better about my car. So he did the same for mine, too. Now we both feel better. What more could you ask of a differential?
