Any way to stop this from getting worse?

This is on a CRV door frame 2010. This other pic is on a toyota 2010 by the sunroof the paint feels rough, It's hard to tell in the pics. I think it's more of a defect in the body.

I just want them to not get any worse if possible.

Well, that looks pretty much toast. If it were mine, I would swing by one of those tint shops that offers body film treatment, and have it covered with matt film or what appeals to you.

Yep, I replaced the trim tape on my 2010 Civic. About $15/door from Honda for a pre-cut kit. It is a pain to do though...

If you aren't as picky you could buy some black vinyl and cover it.

That looks like the beginning of clear coat failure on the Toyota. Not much you can do other than proper washing / waxing techniques.
