are you taking the corolla to the track?
Any reason not to use synthetic blend for 5k oci?

Get a MityVac and run that filter for 2 or 3 services.
I'd probably shoot for 6k but that's just me
Our 06 Corolla with about 128k my son using,I used full synthetic 5W-30 what ever on sale/rebated/clearance and oil filter from fram to purolator even AAP,Autozone,O reilly's house brand.Lately using kirkland for 15$ a 5 quart jug that's for 5k run,Engine is fine will outlast the whole car,the problem now is rust .Also regularly check oil level no consumption yet.

5000 you'll be fine on that engine. [looks for oil report]
I actually do have an old report on computer, ran several oils including Valvoline conventional to 5000 miles with good results.
