For some unremembered reason I flushed and filled my 1986 BMW K75C bike with Dexcool many years ago. I have drained and fresh filled about every 5 years. No issues to report. I did replace the plastic/aluminum radiator two years ago, but the bike was 26 years old with 140,000 miles...not a coolant issue I guess.

Now time to drain and refill.....would another type coolant do me better? The Honda coolant I stock for the CR -V...BMW long life coolant?

I would call the pattern you have established success, so why change it? What did BMW even spec back then for coolant?

I'm guessing they specified g-48 blue coolant originally. The closest thing to it is g-05 which is readily available.

But there's something to be said about not messing with success. Dex isn't bad stuff if implemented correctly.
