Just wonder any one here find best way to restore dull headlight ( damage my mother nature and sun over the year ). My local PB gas station cost 40 dollar to restore. Some guy on craiglist will do for 60 dollar. I check youtube and saw peoples use crest, simple green... if you know the best way, pls post it here. Thank you.

Get a kit and keep things simple. The Wolfgang one seems to be the most complete, though also the most expensive. Some of them lack a sealant to keep the yellowing and hazing from coming back. If you get one without a sealant, though, you could just put your own sealant on (like Rejex or Wolfgang's one).

My buddy just did the head light housings on his '04 Camry and his sons '00 CR-V, using 2000 grit sand paper and wet sanding with soapy water. His lights came out looking better than anyone elses that I have seen yet including my own. I have used Meguiar's Plast-X which is only OK!

As I've learned here, there's many ways to achieve a decent result. I've used the Crystal View kit available at Wally several times with good results. Basically it's a couple different grits of sandpaper, followed by a polishing compound, followed by a sealer. It requires no drill, but the part of the kit that is somewhat unique is the provided clear coat sealer because it helps the job last. btw, many Wally TLE's charge ~$40, but use the CV kit available inside for ~$17.

I'm sure many of the kits, methods, polishes etc, mentioned above work fine too. But ime, to make the job last, some type of clear coat sealant is needed at the end.

3m has a kit but get some extra polish and touch it up from time to time. It comes with drill bit backing pad, 500-800-1000-2000-and 3000 grits and worked like a champ when I used it last week on a 90s t100.

I bought the 3M wetsand headlight restore kit. Works incredible. Headlights could pass as new at least unless you were within a few inches of them. Crystal clear. I kinda wished I'd taken before and after pics..

If you want to do it by hand there are manual kits available or you could use rubbing compound, followed by polishing compound and finish with a good polish/wax for protection.
