Any Experience With Sealants or Adhesives That Bond to Rubber?

I have a small pin hole in a boot on a brand new CV axle. It's small enough that a good glob of adhesive should stop the leak if the surface was properly prepared, and the adhesive was known to be tenacious. Also it needs to be flexible. Thanks in advance.

It will run, but slowly. And it cures by solvent evaporation so a little air will get it to skin over and stay put.

I've used a small piece of a tire tube patch for this. Worked for me.
