I was reading the new web site about Pennzoil HM and it describes how elements of the HM oil bond to metal parts, etc.. Makes it sound like it has synthetic properties. Maxlife is a blend as we all know. So my question is: Is Maxlife still going to outperform Pennzoil HM in this regard?

I got a jug of both and am trying them...I am leaning toward the Pennzoil though because it has more ZDDP than Maxlife

Ummmmmm, could you elaborate? While Pennzoil doesn't list elemental makeup of their additive packages, both are conform to GF-4 emissions standards (ir, the GF-4 phosphorous limit), and Maxlife has almost the maximum amount of phosphorous allowed at 760 ppm, with 830 ppm zinc. Pennz HM is basically identical. 40 ppm here and there differences are meaningless.
