Another Frantz install with hollow bolt.

Just finished my second Frantz install, this one going in my '86 truck using the hollow bolt return line instead of punching the pan. Worked very nicely!

Nice! Very informative article. I wonder, how did you know which bolts lead into the oil passages? Would this info be in the factory service manual or do you have to figure it out yourself? You must be a mechanic.

I was a mechanic for 16 years, but I have to admit I had no idea which holes went through. Luckly, I had a spare head off another engine and looked at the underside of it! LOL Best way would be to go to any machine shop and ask them, most will have lots of junk heads piled up somewhere to look at.

It is great to have pictures explaining what happened during the installation. It gives confidence to those of us without as much experience to try and accomplish more procedures ourselves.
