Android 11 refuses to redirect to googleadservices links

The connection is fine

Android refuses to redirect to googleadservices links and proclaims

This site can't be reached.
www.googleadservices.com's server IP address could not be found.
Try: Checking the connection.

With the same settings on desktop and laptop, I have no problems. I must be missing something.

There is no resource "www" at googleadservices.com per a dig on the domain. That is why you can't connect to the resource "www". If you just point your broswer at "googleadservices.com" you'll get a 404. Google uses the domain for other reasons than to host a website. You can't point your browser at it and get anything in return but a 404.

I should have explained that better. In Chrome I don't get redirected to the linked site but to googleadservices.com instead. With Opera it works just fine on Android. With the pc there is no problem either.
