Local stores here, after running dry, seem to be restocking with M0502 or newer (the gold).

No luck yet.

An advanced formulation like this, explains and justifies the delay.
As a european customer i can't understand how this hi-end synthetic oil is being sold in such a low price there, considering the fact that is being produced in eurore.
The answer is ringing one more time in my ears, i am nothing but a cow for the majority of the european companies.

I have yet to find any GC here in Houston. Must be too many Bitogers...
Maybe, they make more profit on the 'regular' Syntec and dino juice?quote:

Why in the world is Castrol not spending millions of dollars advertising it and really pushing the sales of the GC?
I don't think they want to highlight a particular member of the Syntec line, keeping it Syntec=Syntec=Syntec. I suspect alot of their customers look for the API markings and don't care about ACEA so why point out the uniqueness? If they begin to hype the Euro-oils then they might get, "So all the rest of the Syntec line is not as good because it doesn't say 'Made in Germany (or Belgium)'?"quote:

I have used synthetics since the 80's!
My father and his father both used them as well, in every piece of machinery that had a motor.
Amsoil and M1.
My question is and I don't dought the word of any of U here.
Since GC seems to be one of the best synthetic motor oils out there on the market!
Why in the world is Castrol not spending millions of dollars advertising it and really pushing the sales of the GC?
And mainly keeping everyone in stock of this great product.
Unless they have developed a better product?
which it might be tough to do.
Any thoughts?
I have 42 quarts that I picked up several months ago. After seeing the "glowing" report I decided to get some more. This is turning out to be hard to do. I happed to be passing an AZ and stopped in, they had 22 quarts (mostly 04xx). "Had" is the operative term!quote:

I was just wondering, is the GC in your neck of the woods starting to run out?
Are stores getting new shipments in of the older dates, or are they only getting the newer Amber Castrol M05xxx dates.
Europe= Punitive taxes and deeply ingrained socialism. Come to America, where it all began because of taxation without representation.quote:
