Things look good only thing would be the increase in copper, not sure what caused this but I am not going to run the Valvoline additive this time around. Oh I also used LC in there so that may account for the decreased oxidation. Any comments?

Yeah I am not adding anything to the XL that I just put in. It seems to do its best when left alone. I guess we should leave this stuff up to the real chemists.

I would suggest the Blackstone analysis. You have some sodium. It would be nice if you had a value for potassium which would indicate coolant.

Good catch Al - I missed the Na - interesting the file was tiny yesterday (as viewed in Foxfire)now looks fine in ie.

pinoy - Fe is about the same as yours but Cu is going up. I suspect Al is more correct than he knows

further testing required!

Yeah I am not too worried about the Na, the report stated NEG for glycol. I guess it was probably the LC and Valvoline mixed in. I will just run the straight amsoil XL5w20 and see how it goes this oil change. I dont think there is any concern to run this new oil for the 5-6K 6 month interval and resample. Anyone disagree??

Also, should have posted that this has been mostly a short trip, city driven car during this sample, so that may have something to do with it
