Amsoil SS 0w40 in a 229.5 Application

Looking at the specs, and geez.....this actually looks better than the Amsoil Euro....you guys think theres an exact reason why this doesnt qualify as a Euro Oil? Thanks

Because it's blended with an API ILSAC additive package, not a Euro one 🤷‍♂️
Yeah whats weird is the Euro Oils used to be blended higher Ca levels, and now they look closer to ILSAC levels....

Ive got 11 quarts laying around, might give it a try and check the UOA.....

Don't think that's weird, we saw the same thing with M1 FS 0W-40 when it went to SP, they reduced calcium and increased magnesium, but it still has considerably higher levels of ZDDP.

It's your equipment, you can do what you like. I've gone the other way, I don't run anything with the API/ILSAC neutered additive packages.
