I have a question about the Amsoil oil filters.

I was recently told by an Amsoil rep that the Amsoil Ea oil fiters are required to get the best performance out of Amsoil. He then went on to tell me that Amsoil oil filters filter out SO MUCH more than standard oil filters yet have a 7500 change interval.

My question is:

If an oil filter filters out so much more dirt and contaminants than another oil filter, would you not need to change it MORE often?

What magic does Amsoil do to an oil filter to have it trap smaller particles of dirt, yet not need to be changed as often? Also, if Amsoil filters filter out smaller particles than other brands, do they not restrict flow rate more?

Thanks.

Like other synthetic fibre based filters they have a much higher filtration *capacity*, meaning they can hold more dirt and keep on trucking. No magic, just science.

They want to keep you tied to them for everything. If you use their oil,you HAD BETTER USE their filter...or else.lol

Amsoil Ea are excellent filters. But there is no magic inside, just a well constructed filter. If you want to do really extended OCI, the Amsoil Ea is the filter to use.

Their warranty for engine damage for the oil may require an Amsoil Ea filter.

It's just simply a fiber based fit ration media with a HIGH amount of pleats..

It's very basic..

Similar could be said for the Fram orange cans.. "How can they charge more than most filters for something so [censored]? What kind of magic is this?"

hey stitch, check out the oil filter section, tons of good info there. Synthetic media filters will last longer then papaer, meaning you can go longer in miles and time assuming they are still filtering.
