What exactly is Amsoil using other then ZDDP to achieve good wear? When looking at their VOA's, all I ever see is loads of ZDDP. Hardly any Boron, no Moly and Calcium levels at or below Mobil 1's amount. Is the base oil contributing to protection?

Everyone has always talked about Amsoil's additive package. I say "What additive package?". The loads of ZDDP? I was told by Amsoil it's rather simplistic and by the looks of it, it is. They still get great wear from there oils so it is interesting how this happens.

I wouldnt say its any single component of the formulation such as the ZDDP that makes it good. I would say they just have a nicely balanced oil from the additive perspective.

Micro polishing is for the S2k chemistry. I have to be honest, it's sounds like a bunch of BS based on UOA's we've seen. S2k shows no better wear then the other Amsoil line.
