AMAZON: Purolator Tech TL12222 $2.45

Nice filter if you get the Made in China ones.

I hate saying that......

Prices for these are everywhere. My Mazdas take the 4612 variant, and those are $3.95 on Amazon. Still a decent price for a 5K filter.

That does look nice. I think the Made in China ones have holes in center tube, not louvers.
Yes, the OP posted a virgin China made TL and tube uses holes. That said, having used many louvered tube US Puro filters with c&p all same as linked, not a deal breaker 'for me' either way. Back to topic, China made M&H TL look well made and worth the price.

Good deal for my zero turn with a Kawasaki engine. I’ve been running it for about a month and all is well. Luber finers were also cheap around the same time, so I’m set for the next 5 yrs.

I prefer the filters made in South Korea / Vietnam. Seems like those countries have the mindset that building the highest quality product is the way to gain market share on their competitors.

I could be wrong, but subject Purolator tech filters aren't made in South Korea or Vietnam. I haven't seen any anyway.

What's the easiest way to see if this fits your car?

For the Nissan Rogue I take care of, I bet it will be just fine for <5k intervals and 6 month changes.
You have to track down an application guide for it. I know it cross reference to the FRAM PH10575 for most applications it calls out. It is a 22mm thread and I think most if not all NISSAN's are 20mm thread.

I found the Purolator website filter finder, and found the filter that fits.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079SD4XJ9?psc=1

This one is also $2.40 for anyone who might be interested.

I noticed the Purolator Tech TL14610 (that fits most Hondas and Nissans) is also on sale on Amazon for $2.40 right now.

Being a Tech filter, it's efficiency will be lower but that's fine, as long as it doesn't have some defects like:

[1] Leak of unfiltered oil defect.
[2] Tearing internal media defect.
[3] Stuck louvers defect.
[4] Detaching glue defect.

Would anyone know if this filter is free of all known defects?
If no defects, it could be a good time to stock up on them.

Right. I just meant filters in general. It's good if they are made in a country whose mindset is building a high quality product wins market share.

China has the most skilled and highly concentrated skilled manufacturing engineers in the world.
