This showed up on the Prime home page or whatever you call it so we watched it, WOW. Exceptional photography, great story line. These pilots are beyond next level. Interesting fact, even though they'll pull 7.5 g's they don't wear g-suits, when the bladders inflate they could/would change arm position and make the aircraft move, they learn to handle the g's. Absolutely worth watching. Blue Angels movie

The documentary was awesome. Those pilots are beyond etherial. Gave some depth to the info and flying I already knew about. Sister and brother in law live in Pensacola and have seen the show and many practices over the beach several times over the years. Going again this November for the show at the base.

Check out the six or seven part documentary on YouTube. I stumbled across it a year or two ago it is really detailed on each segment. The eye opening thing is that the leader chants or is constantly giving instructions during each maneuver. I can't remember but somewhere someone stated that if selected it's almost a temporary reprieve in a way. You get to fly displays and shows but it's very demanding. Then after a certain time you head back to your original flight group.

Apparently each pilot has to 100% trust in their aircraft mechanic before each flight. I'm almost to ADD as I'd want to look over the entire aircraft before each flight if I were a pilot.

I saw in a real 1.43:1 IMAX theater. The IMAX presentation was only for a week. This one:

It wasn't the biggest IMAX screen I've seen. The one in San Francisco is bigger, but that was showing the Planet of the Apes movie.

Blue Angels are sooooo awesome and I see them 3-4 times every year.

I remember watching them fly the A-4 Skyhawks and their precision flying skills. (y)
