With the Walmart ST9972 (Toyota oil filter cartridge) @$3 and Amazon Basic @$13, a below $20 OCI price threshold is now possible. Using the BITOG favorite VRP 5W-30 + Fram FE9972, the cost is $43. The other forum fav combo is full-on boutique: HPL passenger premium plus 5W-30 + ST9972 is $66. This includes the July 4th 20% off promo and without shipping. This requires going to a 10K HPL OCI with a 5k filter change which is an additional $3. So the total is $69 for two OCIs. @$35 per OCI, the above Amazon oil+filter combo is significantly cheaper at $16. Difficult to beat out.
