here's the story in a very shortened version:
we have med chem exam in pharmacy school; i help friend study; i get a 88%, she gets a 84%; then she notices that one of the questions are "keyed" wrong; she goes to prof; gets the "key" corrected; result: she gets 2 pts added; i lose 2 pts; friend says: "I wouldn't have noticed it if you didn't help me to study"; she's so happy; I feel irritated a bit...am I a bad person? i shouldn't feel irritated at all...she just learned from me, and used it better than me...so I should be totally happy for her...why can't I?

Did I hear that right?...Bitog now has a Pharmacist!...Can I just PM you with my order?...Just Kidding...go ahead and let it go...Karma...in the end things will balance out...

seriously, if she had the right answer and she got penalized for it, then it's no big deal really. or are you mad that you helped her and it cost your points or that both of you now have an 84 test average?

If it were me, I'd have realised that I was wrong on the question, and punished myself mentally for it, and the remaining questions that I got wrong for the rest of my life.

when you saw it, was it obvious that you got it wrong ?

 was invented for me I think.

oilbabe says you are probably just competitive and are giving yourself a "dope slap" for teaching her something, but not getting it right yourself.

My thoughts are what makes you good or bad is how you respond to your feelings and how you proceed in the future.

You both got "B's" and I doubt it will effect your final grade. I don't think you need to help her study anymore, but maybe you have found a worthy studymate. Let her challenge you.

Is she cute?

Since it was points and not percentages, forgettaboutit.
If she's cute and your both single, tell her your glad she found the "error" and how glad you were to help. Chicks dig that ---- and now you will be labeled as a caring, sensitive guy and she'll put you on her "list."
However, if none of the conditions are true above, then just ignore it.

i'm married, so have to ignore the cute factor.

Thanks again.
