Unknown mileage on this beauty. Came off my work truck, 2018 Silverado 3500HD 6.6... Magnet was pretty caked up. My guess is that it’s the original filter since the date code looks like 01/04/18. Which means this filter has 70,000+ miles on it…yikes!

Just a generic autozone one. Depending on if they get a commercial account with one of the box stores, maybe the next will be different

Wish all transmissions had spin on filters and drain bolts in the torque converter. Would make maintenance a breeze.

My '92 SL2 had a spin on filter and drain plug, no lower pan either

2006 LBZ, 2011 LML & 2018 L5P all got trans filters before 10K miles (16K kms). The fluid on the 2006 was self changing until after the cooling lines recall. The 2018 had a leaky trans cooler replaced on warranty. All got HD syn atf afterwards, some call them TES 995 clones.

If I need atf for a beater, t-case or power steering, I'll drain it from one of the trucks. That way nothing goes to waste.
Going foward, TES 668.
