Of course, they are. But, Musk decided some time ago to mix politics, brand, his cult etc. all together.
99.99999% of people don;t know who is CEO of Ford, GM, BMW, Toyota etc. They might have very strong political views, and they might donate to political campaigns, but they don't mix publicaly politics and the companies they run.
Musk himself invited this, and he will bury Tesla into the ground.

I have no idea what you do for a living, but my opinion is, all work is honorable.
In my later 20's I was unemployable due to my own decisions; I would have loved to make $60K.
