Hey all,

I installed an air/oil separator on my 2001 Mustang GT last night in an effort to try and slow down the oil making it through the PCV system into the intake. Seems to be a common problem with modular motors.

Anyhoo, put it on last night and drove the car just 60 miles today and was shocked to find there is already oil in the separator. Is this normal?

#1 How many miles on your engine?
#2 How do you keep the engine bay so clean?

Also, throw in a few more important details like, type of oil, when was the last time you changed your PCV valve, etc.

Usually not a huge problem on modular motors except for the boosted guys. However, it never hurts.
