Yeah - we built many “cattle guards” from 2-7/8” oilfield pipe - they won’t even step on those …I grew up around cattle. There is no way the cow could have gotten on the hood of the car. Yes, it could have jumped up there, but it would have to jump up landing on it's feet, then lay down. With cold snowy hoofs, the car hood would be impossibly slippery for it to stand on. It would have been a train wreck.
