I just picked up some Synpower 5w30 (no 5w20 available) on the back of the offer that Valvoline is running, and returned the Pennzoil Platinum 5w20.
Any thoughts on this change? It's going into a 2004 Taurus with the 3.0 Duratec. My aim is to run it for a year, now estimating 5000 miles a year but as follows:
1) 2000 miles by taking it on 2 x 45 mile trips every 2 weeks. 70 of those 90 miles will be on the freeway
2) 3000 miles mainly short journeys ranging from 1 mile to 8 miles
